Affiliate Disclosure

BattleStationGear is operated by BattleStation Gear LLC. Many of the outbound product links on this site are affiliate links. When you click a link and complete a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Our only affiliate program at this time is the Amazon Associates Program (tag: battlestationgear-20), through which we earn from qualifying purchases. If we add other affiliate programs in the future, we will update this disclosure accordingly.

We never silently overwrite an affiliate tag pasted by a user. Free-tier user submissions have our platform tag applied at click-time; Pro-tier users can register their own Amazon Associates tag and that tag is used on their setups instead.

Sponsored content (brand spotlights, sponsored builds, newsletter/YouTube integrations) is always disclosed inline with the affected content.

Privacy Policy

What we collect: account email (only if you register), submission content you choose to upload, anonymous click and view analytics, and standard server access logs. Uploaded photos are re-encoded on our servers, which removes embedded metadata such as GPS location before a photo is ever published.

Service providers: we use Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare R2 (photo storage), Vercel (hosting and cookieless aggregate analytics), Stripe (billing — we never see your card number), Resend (email delivery), Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection), and Sightengine (automated image-content moderation — uploaded photos are submitted for scanning before publication). Each receives only the data needed to perform its function.

What we don’t collect: we do not sell personal data. We do not run third-party ad networks that fingerprint visitors. We do not share your email with brand partners.

Data we store on your device: standard session cookies (for sign-in) and authentication tokens issued by our auth provider. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

Terms of Use

By using BattleStationGear you agree: (1) you own the rights to any photos and content you submit; (2) you grant us a non-exclusive license to display your submissions on the site, in our newsletter, and on our YouTube channel; (3) you will not submit content that infringes third-party rights, contains malware, or attempts to manipulate affiliate tracking.

Age requirement: you must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area) to create an account. If we learn an account belongs to someone under that age, we will close it and delete its data.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or community guidelines, and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate them — including for infringement, spam, harassment, or affiliate-tracking manipulation. We are not responsible for prices, availability, or fulfillment of products listed on third-party retailer sites.

All trademarks and product images linked from this site remain the property of their respective owners.

DMCA & Takedown

If you believe content on BattleStationGear infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to dmca@battlestationgear.com including:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work.
2. The URL of the infringing content.
3. Your contact information (name, address, phone, email).
4. A statement of good-faith belief.
5. Your physical or electronic signature.

Response timeline: valid takedown requests are acknowledged within 2 business days and processed within 7 business days. We follow standard counter-notice procedures under 17 U.S.C. §512.

You can also use our in-app report form to flag a specific setup.

Accessibility Statement

We design BattleStationGear to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA where practical. Known gaps: per-setup hotspot tooltips rely on visible markers (alt text describes the part); the calculators use color-coded compatibility indicators with text labels alongside.

Report accessibility issues to support@battlestationgear.com. We commit to acknowledging within 5 business days and a remediation plan within 30.

Cookie Policy

We use first-party cookies only — required for sign-in sessions and CSRF protection, plus a first-party referral cookie (90 days) if you arrive through a member’s referral link. We also store small preference flags in your browser’s local storage (e.g. banner dismissals). We do not use cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) is cookieless and aggregate — it sets nothing on your device.

CCPA / California Residents

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Submit any CCPA request to privacy@battlestationgear.com with the subject line “CCPA Request”.
