Pick your CPU and GPU. See real-world render times for Blender, DaVinci Resolve, and Cinebench — calibrated against published Blender Open Data & Puget benchmarks.
Blender Cycles is GPU-bound — CPU barely moves the needle. Resolve 4K leans on both, with GPU dominating on color/effects nodes. Cinebench R23 is pure CPU.
Lower is faster. Reference builds use the same workload at stock settings.
Blender BMW27 + Classroom times are interpolated from published Blender Open Data medians for each GPU at default sampling. DaVinci Resolve 4K timeline export estimates use Puget Systems' standard 1-minute log-encoded source with a basic node grade. Cinebench R23 multi-core scores are from public benchmark averages — higher score is better; we report the score, not a time. For combos not in the reference set, we use the nearest matching hardware.
